GALU BEACH VILLA

Take a deep breath and immerse yourself in the tranquility of this mesmerizing beach villa located in the tropical paradise of Galu, Kenya. Inspired by the concept of slow living and the beauty of natural materials, the home transforms into a peaceful retreat promoting relaxation and well-being.

A pivotal moment in this project is the removal of the wall that separates the dining area and kitchen, ushering in a flood of natural light and extending the functional space. The material palette is luxuriously pared-back and simple; We retained the existing windows and door frames which open up key spaces to the garden.

This rooftop space has so much potential and was being under-utilized. We added a bar area using clay tiles, walnut joinery and soft linens for the wrapping bench space. The renovation is a  balance of old and new, enhancing the villa's timeless appeal and preserving the character of the original structure while introducing modern sophistication. It will captivate the hearts of families, friends and explorers seeking a respite from the daily hustle.
