CLOUD KITCHN.

Almost every neighbourhood in Kenya has its local kiosk. Somewhere you can rely on getting your soda fix or A loaf of bread last minute. We can all identify them and feel like they are a part of our everyday.

The idea for this CLOUD KITCHEN concept derives from our neighbourhood kiosk. The brief was make it fit within 4 parking spots, easy to build and a tight budget.

Mabati (corrugated metal) is one the most traditional building materials. We wanted to challenge its ‘normal’ function and create something more refined, understated and contemporary. Whilst complimenting. the landscape, the motivation was to create a building which is overwhelmingly present and visible, all the while reflecting its surrounding gracefully, your quintessential neighborhood kitchen.
