What will tomorrow’s workplace look like? What motivates us to come into the office, when we can do it all from home?

Our  ‘serious fun’ concept redefines office spaces with a focus on collaboration, productivity, and functionality. What was once a former nightclub, has now been converted into a vibrant serviced office which was taken over by a start-up payments company.

We attempted to repurpose and reuse a lot of waste materials in the space. By breaking away from conventional corporate elements, the design introduces a fresh and engaging atmosphere that feeds a culture of community. Workspaces no longer have to look and feel ‘serious’ to create a productive and fun environment.

Overlooking the stunning Ngong hills and city skyline, this space has been designed to accommodate a variety of work styles, from individual offices and meeting rooms to small discussion areas, breakout zones, and workstation areas.

As you enter, the space immediately comes to life with a strategically placed café and communal seating setup. The double-height structure of the space allowed for creative ceiling treatments delineating distinct work zones, each with its unique atmosphere. Warm timber elements are used throughout, adding a sense of comfort and relaxation.

One of the standout features is a real tree with seating arranged around it, creating a natural focal point that anchors the space and adds a touch of greenery to the urban setting. This feature not only serves as a visual centerpiece but also provides a serene spot for informal meetings or quiet reflection.

The double-height area has been cleverly divided into a mezzanine level, connected by a bridge. This upper-level hosts meeting rooms, private offices, and additional breakout areas.
